Saddle, Lateral & Infiltration Lining

Saddle Lining: CRB have introduced a range of liners that seal the pipe from incoming ground water These saddle liners have been tested and are approved WRc and the water companies who sue them themselves.

Traditional liners allow ground water to track along the gap between the liner and the host sewer. CRB infiltration liner creates a seal at the back of the liner, tested to withstand a 5 bar head of pressure. With CRB infiltration liner no ground water enters the pipe.

Lining Process

Infiltration Lining:
After infiltration lining the junctions and laterals need repair to stop them allowing water in. Saddle liners are used at the junction of the main of the lateral. CRB has the unique ability to line, at any angle junction set to any position on the pipe from the usual centre entry position to the crown or the invert level at the base of the pipe junction.

The Process: We first line the main using an air inverter. Up to 300m in one shot and up to 500mm diameter, can be achieved using our mobile wet out rigs. Infiltration and structural liners can all be installed. Polyester, thermal cure, silicate, epoxy, vinylester and UV are different design solutions to cover a range of applications and specifications.

Finally:
Once we have cleaned and CCTV’d the drain we line the main. The laterals are then cut using robotic lateral cutters, from 4inch to 40inch all can be lined.

CRB have a new and unique economical lining system that seals the main pipe, the pipe junction and the laterals. This will eradicate all groundwater infiltration into the sewer.
