Listed Building Case Study #2

A renovated country house

The original cottage was in a bad state of repair after several years of neglect. The building had evolved in an ad-hoc manner over the years with repairs and add-ons using several different styles and materials. A combination of reclaimed brick, local stone and timber was used in the renovation. The two gable ends and first floor were replaced, the chimney was rebuilt from scratch, otherwise where possible existing walls and
structures have been retained and enhanced.
